Refunds and cancellations

This policy covers paid human sessions from Software Dev Space: self-custody holdings reviews, rebalance walkthroughs, and watchlist setup sittings. It does not cover Microsoft Store charges for the desktop watchlist terminal, which are governed by Microsoft’s own store terms.

Eligibility

Refunds apply to session fees paid directly to Software Dev Space. Informational rates on the Rates page are not charges until an invoice or deposit request is issued and paid.

Timeframe

• Full refund of a deposit or prepaid session fee if you cancel at least 48 hours before the confirmed start time.
• Partial refund (50%) if you cancel between 48 and 12 hours before the start time.
• No refund for cancellations inside 12 hours, no-shows, or sessions already completed.

Rescheduling

You may reschedule once without fee when you give at least 48 hours’ notice. Later reschedules may be treated as cancellations under the timeframe above.

Work already started

If a remote or in-person session has begun (including opening the watchlist walkthrough), the fee for that sitting is non-refundable. If we must stop early because of our own technical failure, we offer a free repeat sitting or a full refund of that session fee — your choice.

Deposits

Deposits hold a Hung Hom appointment. Unused deposits follow the cancellation timeframe. Deposits are not transferable to Microsoft Store purchases.

Materials and notes

Session notes prepared for you after a completed sitting are part of the delivered service and are non-refundable. We do not sell physical product kits; therefore there is no product-return process.

How to request a refund

Email contact@softwaredevspace.digital with your name, session date, and reason. Include the invoice or payment reference. We respond within five business days.

Processing time and method

Approved refunds are returned by the original payment method within 10 business days of approval. Bank processing times may add a few days beyond our transfer.

Exceptions

If Hong Kong public health or building access rules prevent an in-person sitting, we will move the appointment to remote delivery or refund the deposit in full at your request. We do not refund solely because asset prices moved after a session.
